Why do they fade?
I thought they were supposed to be permanent… As we explained in our last blog this blog about lip tattooing — permanent makeup used to be applied with real ink.
This used to be the same ink that you would receive in a normal body tattoo.
Then came pigment! Pigment is thicker and powderier than ink — and looks MUCH more natural. If the semi permanent eyebrow technician is of a high quality — it is almost impossible to know if somebody has had their brows tattooed with pigment.
Usually, this process takes about 18-24 months — but most clients come back for a pigment touch up after 12-18 months to ensure their brows are looking great.
Occasionally, we get clients who have faster exfoliating skin types. This means that their skin pushes the pigment out in less than 12 months.
This is very rare — but it is just a trait that some people have. In these instances, the client will come in much earlier for their touch up.
Is there anything I can do to make my brows last longer?
The short answer is yes. Sed lobortis porta metus nec bibendum. Nunc tristique placerat elementum.
